Minnesota Official Measurers was established in December of 1996. It got official registration with the Secretary of State as a non-profit entity on 8/25/97. The club was formed for the purpose of creating a big game measuring body, whose primary interests are for the training and certification of scoring Minnesota's Big Game animals. We have fostered a brotherhood between the MOM Measurers to enhance credibility and accuracy in measuring big game animals, specifically those indigenous to Minnesota.

Our policies are to maintain the Rules of Fair Chase as established by other hunting organizations Boone & Crockett and Pope & Young. We uphold all laws pertaining to taking of all game, big and small, as designated by the respected divisions of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

We currently has over 90 active members throughout the State. The current membership has certified measurers for nearly every record keeping system in North America. What ever your North American trophy, Minnesota Official Measurers can measurer and enter your trophy in most any record book. This club is also the official measuring body for the Minnesota Deer Classic, and the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association. The Minnesota Deer Classic has produced a number of record books over the years and the MDHA has an online Record Book Listing. The Club has three scheduled meetings each year, ( Fall, Winter, & Spring ), of which all members and the public are welcome to attend.

Each member donates his or her time and expense to attend any deer show or measure any trophies. As a non-profit organization, it is against Club Rules for an individual to accept payment for measuring services. However, donations to the club are accepted and used to offset the costs of motel rooms when needed. Any monetary donations to the club will be given a tax deductible receipt and would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Bob Dombeck for making any donations.
