Thank you for showing interest in becoming a Minnesota Official Measurer. We are the recognized measuring club for our state’s four big-game species: Bear, Elk, Moose, and Whitetail Deer. Our club has members that are certified for measuring and entering records for our state of Minnesota, along with other state and national organizations. We are a non-profit organization and participate strictly on a volunteer basis.

To become a certified member of our club you need to meet some attendance requirements (mentoring with other members at shows), take a scheduled class, and pass a written and hands-on measuring test within a 3 year period of your class. If you satisfactorily complete these requirements, you’ll receive a certificate of completion, become listed on our website as an official measurer and the club will reimburse fifty percent of your training costs.

Please print and fill out the application below, mail to the address on the application along with your check and you’ll be contacted about the next training class. We hold smaller classes as needed to provide proper training. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding becoming a measurer or what is involved with being a measurer.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!
